What is Escrow?
The function of Escrow is a neutral third party that acts on behalf of both the buyer and the seller. It provides in essence a firewall to ensure that property or money will not change hands until all instructions pertaining to the transaction are complete. In most instances, lenders will require a title insurance policy which most often can be purchases through one's escrow company.
